RIVERSIDE – Organizers of the Janet Goeske Foundation's "A Salute to Seniors" fundraising dinner hope tonight's inaugural event will make more people aware of the senior center and what it has to offer.

"This is the Janet Goeske Center's coming-out party," Goeske Foundation president Mike Grabendike said about the sold-out event, which will be at the Victoria Club. "This is their debutante ball."

Although the Goeske Center has been around for 22 years, "we just kind of run below the radar screen." Grabendike said. "People know we're there. They kind of know what we do... It's one of those things that's just kind of there. We decided it's time to elevate the public perception of Goeske."

Those honored this evening will be:

Janet Goeske Foundation Founders Award: City of Riverside
Wylie Hoffman Community Service Award: Henry Coil

Dr. Carl Rowe accepting the award for Integrated Care Communities, accompanied by his daughter, Rosemary.

Janet Goeske Foundation Senior Service Award: Integrated Care Communities. The non-profit provides services for seniors and children on a 9-acre campus near the Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
