Caring for the Circle of Life in Moreno Valley

New Facility Cares for Young and Old Alike

Finding quality care for our children and our aging loved ones can be a challenge. And it’s exceptionally rare to find a facility designed to meet both those needs.

Located on the grounds of the Riverside County Regional Medical Center, the brand new Integrated Care Communities (ICC), 11751 Davis Street in Moreno Valley, is designed to take care of family members at both ends of the age spectrum, with assisted living facilities for elder adults, child day care, adult day health care and skilled nursing.

A nonprofit corporation, ICC was founded by Dr. Carl Rowe, a licensed pharmacist and former professor at the Southern California Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy, and his wife, Bette Rowe (pictured), his partner in Developmental Client Care Industries, a Moreno Valley company dedicated to providing residential care services to disabled adults.

“As Moreno Valley residents,” Dr. Rowe says, “Bette and I are especially pleased to be part of a project designed to enhance the quality of life for families right here in our own community.”

The first stage of the nine acre project, the assisted living facility, is now open in the homey environment that includes private rooms, private baths and patios.

One of four assisted living facilities is devoted to patients with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, and all residents share living, dining and activity rooms, a sun solarium, kitchen and laundry.

Other amenities include three meals a day, housekeeping, an in-ground hydrotherapy spa, cable TV and a daily activity calendar, with prices ranging from $1,150 a month for a semi-private studio, $1,650 for a private studio to $2,400 for a semi-private Alzheimer studio.

The Child Day Care Center is scheduled to open in March 2002. Child oriented activities will include hands on computer, music and art classes, field trips, and a specially designed play yard. Child care rate will range from $90 per week for school age care, to $105 for preschool care, to $140 per week for infant and toddler care.

The Adult Day Health Care Center and Skilled Nursing Facility are scheduled to open in 2003. Adult day and health care will include daytime nursing assistance, medical supervision, physical therapy, and social activities.

Skilled nursing will provide a full range of on-site medical services in addition to exercise and social programs and beauty and barbershop services.

To find the ICARE village, exit on Nason St. from Interstate 60 and drive south one mile to Integrated Care Communities. For more information, call 909-243-3837 or visit the Web site at www.icarecommunities.com.
